British Antenna Tech in the World's Thinnest Laptop
Novocomm’s antennas are embedded into the world’s thinnest laptop.
Birmingham-based Novocomm’s ground-breaking wifi antenna technology powers the Robo& Kala 2-in-1 laptop.
Novocomms and Robo&Kala have worked together to produce the 7mm thick laptop with a detachable screen since 2021.
The laptop, which weighs 680 grams, has a 20-hour battery life.
Novocomms Limited’s team of engineers incorporated a fully integrated antenna within the hybrid laptop’s metal body.
The dual-band Wi-Fi antenna enables high-speed connectivity.
Sampson Hu, the CEO of Novocomms, said: "We applaud the arduous work of all the members of the Robo&Kala team that led to
the birth of their premier product – a 2-in-1 laptop that outperforms others in efficiency, battery life, portability, and affordability.
The team at Novocomms is proud to have contributed our antenna technology to this cutting-edge technology".
"Novocomm’s antenna tech is widely used by global laptop makers. We are especially delighted at the release of the laptop because
our team engineers needed to overcome serious technical challenges."
The hybrid laptop comes equipped with 20 hours of battery life, an ultra-clear touch OLED display, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen3.
The laptop was launched on 15 December 2022.
